So, with that being said – we’ve decided that we’re going to blog because that’s what the experts tell us to do. I understand that it doesn’t require an english major to throw a few sentences together – but what am I supposed to talk about?

The key to any marketing program (that’s what this is right?), is to be consistent. Develop a strategy where you are consistently pushing new/fresh content. Content is one of the areas I struggled with and after some googling came upon Blogging Ideas for 2010. What an excellent resource to start giving you some ideas on content.

1. 1. Develop a list of 10 content ideas for your blog, yes – write them down!
2. 2. Pick a time to write the articles, you may find that its easiest to do a couple of them at the same time. Don’t worry – you can schedule the release of them. So go ahead and pre-populate your blog content.
3. 3. Ask your team for both content ideas and writing – remember you want it to be professional, but no one needs to be an expert author. Be yourself and let your personality shine through.

The strategy in my company is to develop our entire marketing campaign around blogging. Newsletters, social media content, forum postings, etc. will revolve around our blog.
